Lourdes Garcia

Calgary, Alberta, Canada

Born in El Salvador and raised in Calgary since the age of 8, Lourdes attended the University of Calgary and graduated in 2015 with a double major in Law and Society and Sociology. Afterwards, she obtained her law degree from Newcastle University (United Kingdom) in 2018. During law school, she was actively involved in campus volunteering and competitions. She was a semi-finalist in 2016 for the law school's annual client negotiation competition. Throughout her studies, she spent her summer term working for Alberta Justice and Solicitor General at the Court of Queen's Bench.

Lourdes joined Castle and Associates as an Articling Student in the summer of 2019. Outside of work, Lourdes volunteers with the Canada Revenue Agency as an income tax adviser for low-income tax individuals.

In her spare time, Lourdes enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She also spends the evenings taking long walks with her dog Mia, checking out new restaurants in the neighborhood and exploring new cities.
