Kim was raised in Calgary and attended the University of Calgary, completing both an Honours Degree in Political Science and subsequently a Juris Doctor.

She has a keen interest in litigation and participated in a number of moots throughout law school, including the Mcgillivray Moot, Kawaskimhon Aboriginal Circle, and the Health Law Moot. Kim also actively volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and the Alberta Law Review as a law student.

Kim joined Castle & Associates as an Articling Student in the spring of 2018 and was admitted to the Alberta Bar in the summer of 2019.
